How amazing is this? I still cannot believe longtime Disney Artist and Historian, Stacia Martin, drew me this one-of-a-kind personalized sketch of Minnie Mouse for my home office. ![]() I’m fortunate to be located in Southern California only a few miles from Disneyland, so I’ve attended the last two DisneySMMC On-The-Road shows. They hold one-day “boot camp” type sessions throughout the year in major cities around the country. OK, if you are not invited to the week-long Disney Social Media Moms Conference, have no fear. What is Disney Social Media Moms Conference On-The-Road? While a large percentage, if not all, bloggers in attendance cover some type of Disney materials on their blogs, it’s not mandatory, but it will help! I will say one thing, as each day passed and I met more and more amazing bloggers, I quickly realized, this is a wonderful tribe to be a part of and I’m grateful.ĭo You Need to Be a “Disney” Blogger to Score an Invite? I couldn’t possibly share how many wonderful people fill the seats at DSMMC, but I will tell you if you go, be sure to meet and talk with as many possible. If that’s not a dream come true, I don’t know what is.ĭuring the week I also met and became friends with so many bloggers I had never crossed paths with before, or have only met online. My #DisneySMMC Friends and fellow #OMagInsiders: Amber of GlobalMunchkins and Misty of Frosted Events So you can only imagine how great it was for our husbands and children that have grown up in this blogging world together, have the chance to spend an entire week with each other having a blast at the Happiest Place on Earth! I’m not sure of the powers that be who handle the actual invite list, but they nailed it! Not only did I have an amazing time with my family, but this year, so many of my dear friends like Kim-Marie of Luxury Travel Mom, Amber of Global Munchkins / Rookie Moms, Misty of Frosted Events, Clarissa of Clarissa Explains It All, Kristen of Rage Against The Mini Van, Heather of The Sporh’s Are Multiplying, and OC Mom Blog herself, Shelby Barone attended as well with their families in tow. Showing off my rose gold Minnie Mouse ears at the opening ceremonies this morning.ĭuring our post-conference survey, the attendees were asked if we would consider future DisneySMMC at other locations? For me, that’s an emphatic YES! So hopefully this will include a return trip to Aulani, or perhaps something in conjunction with Adventures by Disney, or even better? A Disney Mediterranean cruise. Do you already post about your Disney family vacations? If so, it’s safe to say you are already on their radar, and if you are not, trust me, you will be. There are many factors, and considerations. However, there doesn’t seem to be just one sure-fire way one can score one of these almost impossible-to-score invites. ![]() ![]() Mom and Dad bloggers are carefully vetted, and if you are a chosen one, the invites (which the blogging community fondly refers to as “Pixie Dust,”) begin to roll out roughly six months before the conference. For as long as I can remember, bloggers have vied to be included. This seems to be the million dollar question. How Do You Get Invited to Be a Part of Disney Social Media Moms Conference? If that’s not special, I’m not sure what is.īut don’t think you can just sign up and go! for a week of sessions, exclusive behind-the-scenes, special events, and a once of a lifetime opportunity.ĭuring this time, you are not only learning and hearing from the Disney experts directly, but your family is invited to attend as well and visit the parks and attractions while you’re attending the conference for a few hours a handful of mornings. In a nutshell, Disney Social Media Moms Conference invites between 150 – 200 hand chosen bloggers every year to one of the Disney destinations throughout the U.S. Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears and Millennial Pink Disney Magic Bands make me happy!
